This thing is really clean (especially for a midwest car) and is priced right IMO. $3500 is right around what I think I’d pay for this.

I know. I wish I had extra funds to play with because I’d be first in line.

Jeebus - that window sticker. $29k in 1994 is about $50k today.

Wow, that is very nice. The rust doesn’t look bad at all given the age, miles, and where it’s located. The fact that it has the trailer package and limited slip differential is that much better.
I didn’t realize the third row seat on these was vinyl even when the rest of the seats were cloth.

Oof...I didn’t even look at that. Jeebus is right.

It’s in spectacular shape for the rust belt. The last one that was this clean that I saw around here the guy was asking and insane $10k for. I can’t imagine he ever sold it for anywhere near that amount.

Those hubcaps must be from around 1970?
No wood and cloth, I wonder if this was a special order.

TBH if there was a Buick and wagon version of the C hevy SS today, it’d cost at least that. Hell, a Lacrosse Aveni r is $47k.

Hard to find a good truck for that price. That would be a sweet tow rig.

Yeah, but the Avenir is top of the line. I get the Roadmaster was (sorta) too, but this looks like a pretty basic one of those with cloth seats and whatnot.
I mean, you can nab a brand new TourX for that ballpark in 2019.

That third row being vinyl is surprising - we had an ‘89 Olds Custom Cruiser and the third row was trimmed in the same cloth as the rest of the car.

That’s interesting. I wonder if it was the trim level that determined whether it was vinyl or if a cloth third row was an extra cost option.

The last one I saw was actually about two years ago on a dealership used car lot. It had the wood grain sides, but the paint on the roof had seen better days. I think they were asking $8000.
If my wife didn’t hate wagons I would seriously consider something like this and a cheap utility trailer as a replacement for my truck. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t really have anywhere to keep the trailer when I’m not using it.

Side note, the LT1 Roadmaster has more HP then TourX of 25 later.

That it does! LT1 was a great engine, my Dad has about 250k+ on his ‘95 Impala SS.

Yes it would -7000lbs tow rating, more seats t han a full size pickup, and a secure, weather tight cargo area.

I love it. I love the unique color. I love the lack of fake wood. T he 70's Buick hubcaps look freakin’ sweet on it ... but ...
The Achilles heel of B-bodies in the rust belt is, ironically , rust at the base of the B-pillars. It’s ultimately fatal, as this era is only repairable with copious time, skill, and (unless you can do it yourself) more money than they’re worth.
Because of the B-pillar rust, I must give this a very regrettable CP :(
If I had that kind of money to burn, I might buy it anyways ....

No, they were all vinyl.

Good catch. I hadn’t noticed that rust spot.

That's the exact spot that caused me to sell my Roadmaster. I didn't feel like I could haul my kids in a vehicle with a weakened pillar, which defeated the purpose of having a fun vehicle that the whole family could fit in.

I was at a local car show this year and spent quite some time talking to a guy who had built his mid=90s
Roadmaster wagon (with wood grain, of course)
into a modest hot rod
. It had a spiced-up
LT1 with some beefier
drivetrain parts to handle the
power
, suspension mods,
and a number of other cool features in the build. He also had a sense of humor, as indicated by the
“GS” badging and
hood scoop
on the car. He and his kids obviously enjoyed their project
immensely, and I had a grand time talking to him.
